State Of Texas And Feds Now Require North American Code
Updates For Small Business And Industry

The Texas Comptroller's Office is currently informing business owners and
officers of the Federal Office of Budget and Management requirement of
re-registering Texas businesses, formerly listed under the "Standard
Industry Classification System," into the new "North American Industry
Classification System."

According to the form letter, The NAICS was developed jointly by the U.S., Canada and Mexico to provide
new comparability in statistics about business activity in North America.

Recently, television and billboard campaigns were launched in San Antonio, Texas. The billboard in the
picture below introduces the "Mexicans and Americans Thinking Together (MATT) campaign.
